It is always when you least expect it that you meet the most exceptional people… for those who have read my book, there is a chapter dedicated to Padre Mariano, an Italian priest met in Angola. I have just discussed an hour with his counterpart in Armenia, an Italian again: Antonio who came here in early 1989 as a doctor on a humanitarian mission following the earthquake. It has remained there and has since participated in the reconstruction of the country through projects that must be self-financing, even profitable: tourism (Hotel/Restaurant), Art workshop, ecological project, etc…. A bright man. He is very discreet and without his friend Bella, an Armenian passionate about art and her city, who sold the fuse and led me to interview him, I would have missed.
